Kids' clubs, shallow lagoons and transfer times that work for children.

The stay

A week when the children are busy, and you get some time too.

A family week works when the island does some of the work: a lagoon calm enough to paddle in, a kids' club for the hours you want to yourselves, and a villa with room for everyone. Getting there matters as much, so we look at how long the transfer takes and when your flights land.

Plan a family stay

Choosing the island

What to look for with children.

Islands differ a lot for families. These are worth checking before you choose.

  1. A gentle lagoon

Sand that slopes gently into calm water, so younger children can paddle near the beach.

  2. A kids' club that fits

Clubs take different ages and keep different hours, and some charge. Worth checking before you choose.

  3. Room for everyone

A two-bedroom villa, connecting rooms or a family villa, depending on how many of you there are.

  1. A shorter transfer

A speedboat island near the airport means less travelling with tired children.

  2. Meals that work

Children's menus, and a meal plan that suits how your family eats.

  3. Things to do together

A pool for the younger ones, and a reef to snorkel for those old enough.

What we arrange

Set up before you land.

  1. The villa

The right villa for the size of your family, with the beds you need.

  2. The kids' club

We check the club's ages and hours with the resort before we suggest the island.

  3. Transfers

Seaplane, speedboat or domestic flight, timed around your international flights.

  4. One contact

One contact from your first message until you fly home.

A sample week

Five nights, as they might go.

One way five nights can run. Every island is different, and nothing here is fixed.

  1. Day 1

    Arrive

Land at Velana International Airport, transfer to the island, and an early night.

  2. Day 2

    The lagoon

The beach in the morning, and the pool after lunch.

  3. Day 3

    The kids' club

A morning at the club for the children, and a quiet one for you.

  4. Day 4

    The reef

Snorkel the house reef together, or a lesson for the older ones.

  5. Day 5

    Out on the water

A boat trip, if the island runs one, or another day on the beach.

  6. Day 6

    Home

Breakfast, a last swim, and a transfer timed to your flight.
