The stay

Time on your own, on an island chosen for the two of you.

A honeymoon here is mostly time together with very little to plan: a villa by the water, long breakfasts, the reef in the afternoon and dinner wherever you like. What makes it work is choosing well before you land: the island, the villa, and how you get there.

Plan your honeymoon

Choosing the island

What makes a good island for two.

Every island is different. These are the things worth looking for on a honeymoon.

  1. Privacy

Villas spaced well apart, facing the sea rather than each other.

  2. The right mood

An adults-only island, or a quiet one, if you would rather not share the pool with families.

  3. Somewhere to dine alone

Private dining on the beach or on your own deck, as well as the restaurants.

  1. The sunset side

Villas on one side of an island face the sunset, and on the other the sunrise. Worth choosing if evenings on your own deck matter.

  2. An easy first day

Seaplanes fly in daylight only, so your flight times decide which islands make arriving easy.

  3. Something for newlyweds

Many resorts mark a honeymoon with an extra, and usually ask for proof of the wedding date.

What we arrange

The details, before you arrive.

  1. The villa

We arrange the right villa as well as the right island: on the beach or over the water, as suits you.

  2. Dinners and surprises

A private dinner, or a surprise for the other one, arranged with the resort before you arrive.

  3. Transfers

Seaplane, speedboat or domestic flight, timed around your international flights.

  4. One contact

One contact from your first message until you fly home.

A sample week

Five nights, as they might go.

One way five nights can run. Every island is different, and nothing here is fixed.

  1. Day 1

    Arrive

Land at Velana International Airport, transfer to the island, and the rest of the day off.

  2. Day 2

    The reef

Snorkel the house reef in the morning, and lunch whenever you like.

  3. Day 3

    Out on the water

A sunset cruise on a dhoni, the traditional Maldivian boat.

  4. Day 4

    The spa

A treatment for two, then dinner on the beach.

  5. Day 5

    Nothing planned

A day with nothing fixed at all.

  6. Day 6

    Home

A late breakfast, and a transfer timed to your flight.
